S.E.W. Consulting Limited was established in 2007 to provide a different approach to regulatory consultancy services.
Sarah is an expert in regulatory risk management, policy development, regulatory strategy and process improvement.
Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 1990. Having practised law in private practice and in-house for ten years for banking and insurance groups, she moved into regulatory consulting and was a director of KPMG’s regulatory consulting team. She subsequently became an independent consultant and has run multiple high-profile projects in the UK and overseas for regulators. She has a strong understanding of the regulatory mindset and the expectations of regulators and is an expert on regulatory policy.
Sarah worked with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), where she successfully delivered a series of high-profile projects. She also led the application of the Intellectual Property Regulation Board to be a licensing authority.
From 2014-2017, Sarah led the development of new financial services legislation in Gibraltar on behalf of the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission and the Government of Gibraltar.
Sarah advises on compliance arrangements and regulatory risk management for law firms and financial services firms in addition to leading projects for regulators. Sarah’s advice is informed by her own experience as a solicitor, her consultancy skills and her understanding of regulatory expectations.
Outside work, Sarah enjoys travelling, learning new languages, photography, and writing poetry and articles.
